Day 1 — Ruminahui Summit
Located within Cotopaxi National Park, Ruminahui is a rugged extinct volcano named after the Inca warrior. The trek crosses open paramo with direct views of Cotopaxi. The final approach involves scrambling over volcanic rock to reach one of three summit peaks at 4,721m.
