Pinan Trekking — 4 Days with certified ASEGUIM & UIAGM guides. 4 Days / 3 Nights, max altitude 4,535m / 14,879 ft. Difficulty: Moderate-Difficult. Private transportation from Quito included.

Day 1

Transfer to Tumbabiro, then to Pablo Arenas. 5-6 hour hike to first camp at San Francisco.

Day 2

Trek from San Francisco to Yanacocha lagoon via a Pre-Colombian Caranqui trail (1000+ years old).

Day 3

Summit Yanahurco de Pinan (4,535m). Visit ancient Caranqui ruins and astronomical observatory at the summit. Descend to Burrococha lagoon camp.

Day 4

Long descent to Chachimbiro hot springs at 2,500m. Enjoy medicinal thermal baths. Return to Quito.
