Day 1 — Cayambe Refuge

Drive north from Quito to the Cayambe Refuge at 4,600m. Afternoon glacier training and equipment check. Dinner and rest.

Day 2 — Summit Day

Midnight departure for the summit at 5,790m — the 3rd highest peak in Ecuador and the highest point on the equator with glaciers. Navigate through crevasse fields to reach the summit. Descend and return to Quito.
